General Faq
Do you work with clients outside of Edmonton?
Absolutely! Today’s “virtual” options make it simple to get together, no matter where you’re located. We can share work electronically, have video calls, and use screen sharing to communicate.
How many employees do you have?
Hotspot Creative works with a team of independent contractors, all of whom are excellent in their respective fields. This agency model allows Hotspot to cut down on overhead, so that we can continue to offer affordable branding and design services to our clients.
Why are there only starting prices listed?
The starting price is exactly that, should your project not need anything additional above our base package. Your needs may be different from another client’s needs. This is why we always start with a consultation call to meet and discuss your unique design needs, and goals. If we are a good fit to work together then we’ll send you a proposal unique to your project.
Do you offer payment options?
Yes we do. We understand getting proper branding and design can be a significant investment so we have options to make payments as simple as possible for our clients. Most brand projects are paid in two installments, while website projects or combination brand + website projects can be broken down into 3-6 payments depending on project size. All payments are due before the completion of your project and delivery of any final files.
How much info do you need to get started?
The more, the better! The more we are educated in your business, your clients needs and your brand, the more suited we are to deliver you a fitting solution.

What is a Brand Style Guide?
A custom brand style guide comes complete with all branding packages. This is what is going to help guide a lot of your marketing decisions moving forward. It includes your mission, visions, values, typography, color codes, usage guidelines, imagery suggestions, and styling notes to help keep your brand consistent at all times.
What if I don’t like the end product?
We include revisions throughout the process in all of our projects; this allows you to provide us with constructive feedback so that you will get the end product you are happy with. It’s also best if you provide us lots of information during the discovery stage to avoid this situation altogether.
Do I need a website as well?
Investing in one but not the other is like buying a bunch of ingredients for a birthday cake but skipping the flour. While it is not required, we recommend combining your branding package with a website package to improve your customer’s experience, ensure consistency in your marketing, and maximize your return on investment.
Remember, your brand is what will attract your ideal clients. A well designed website is what will turn those potential clients into paying customers.
How long will it take?
If everything goes smoothly the average is 4-6 weeks. However, this is timeline completely dependent upon the scope of the project, revisions and client response time.
How do we meet?
We operate remotely to better serve our clients and balance creative output and meeting times. In-person meetings are on special request. While we may not meet in often in person, this gives us more flexibility in terms of hours and scheduling. We’re always available by email, phone, or Zoom meeting.
Post Pandemic we’ve discovered it’s a lot more productive, for us and our clients, to meet online rather than in -person.
How do we communicate through the design process?
We will have two initial design meetings before we begin any design work, followed by unlimited email, as well as scheduled phone and video call support during the duration of your branding project’s timeline.
